<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (that @ Jan 1 2008, 05:17 PM) </div>Hilux diff strongest diff arond for the ae/ke also the heaviest requires modification to shorten the diff and add spring seats as it uses leaf springs also need swaybar mounts welded on but u dont have to do this. they can use a lsd in them but they are expensive arond $300 mark plus the cost to get the work done. the one u want is a g series diff out of an rn41 hilux

By using a g series diff, how bad does it affect the handling of the car?

How hard is it to handle?

For the people that has gone through the g series route, how much roughly did u guys spend?

The diff is indeed out of a rn41 hi-lux an 1983 model actually, they are 1410mm in length, if you measure your sprinter diff it should be pretty close so all you will have to do is change stud pattern on your axles and transfer your suspension brackets from your s- series to the hi-lux diff. Nissan r-31 rear discs have same stud pattern as sprinter but you will have to machine 5mm off the flange of the hi-lux axles to fit the discs on. Craft differentials in Granville may still do caliper brackets for this conversion. I hope this helps.
    Cheers Mick.
