    Default 20v Issues :(

I hadnt driven my car for about 2 weeks due to it being out of rego and defected and i decided to start her up the other day and when i did it was running on 3cyl.

so the next day i start it up again and its still running shit so i decided to start with the basics and clean up the plugs.

when i did i pulled number 1 out to find that it was pretty oily but nothing to serious, then i pulled number 2 out and the hole that the spark plug goes in had a ton of oil in it and the plug was drenched in oil top to bottom, obviously this is why it was running shit but what would make the whole thing fill up with oil?

then i started it up with the #2 plug pulled out and put my hand over the top and it was spraying oil all over my hand

i did a compresion test but then later found out that the one i have doesnt really work with the way the 20v plugs are set down inside the head.

also after i pulled the plugs out i cleaned them right up (sanded and washed with petty) and it still ran on 3cyl (number 2 being the issue here) and when i pulled them back out they are covered in oil again.

iv come to the conclusion that my engine is fekked but i really wanna know what is wrong before i go pulling it out and putting a new one in.

    any ideas guys?

    sonny.

there are o rings in the cam cover, they do leak, mainly from removing and replacing to many times. Try buying a valve cover gasket kit for a start and see if that stops the oil leak. Plugs dont ground well covered in oil.

hey man i would replace the cam cover gasket. they do go around the spark plug holes and if its leaking it will fill up the spark plug hole. also the cylinder its not running pull the plug out leave it in the lead and make sure the plug is earthed on the motor by just sitting it on some metal off the engine and crank it over to see if theres spark if not id get new leads and plugs.
