my missus recently bought a freelander from auction for 6.5 k and sold it for 11.8 about 4 weeks later, person didnt even come look at it.

move my cars pretty easy, motorbikes too. the sunshine coast is bit of a drive, for some. They usually find out absolutely everything before they come down, and i always spend hours cleaning the shit out of everything and they are always happy.

being honest straight up about everything.

supplying pictures instantly when asked, and overloading them with information so they know exactly what is goin on without going to see it. and none of this "i dont have a camera" crap...everyone has a camera.

If your ad looks like that, You're only going to get mega fucktards enquiring. Set it up with good pictures and heaps of information, and come clean about any problems the car has. A lot of people would be surprised how many people will still buy a car when the previous owners admit it's problems.

oh yeah another story i would like to add to this fantastic thread..

A few years ago I advertised a landrover discovery on carsales and had no calls for like 3 months, so I sold the car to a friend of the family and consequently forgot all about the carsales add.. One saturday night I went out and drank pretty much all of adelaides alcohol supply and got into the pellets pretty hard, crashed out at 4 am, was woken at 6am on a sunday morning by some peckerhead wanting to buy my landrover.. answered the phone, pretty sure if IIRC i called the guy a motherfucker and then proceeded to projectile vomit all morning.. If that wankstain hadnt of rung me I would of slept all day and woken up minty fresh.

lesson learnt: carsales.com has AIDS. The monkey version.

Years ago, my younger brother calls this guy about a T18 he is selling(yes, I was contemplating disowning him!)

Anyway we were out at Gawler and this place was down south, Lonsdale.

So my brother asks what condition, guy says it's mint you cannot fault.

my brother gives him a speil how we have to come from Gawler, doesn't want to waste a huge trip if it's no good!

the guy says it's like showroom, no rust, mint nick we will not fault.

anyway we drive down, drive up driveway and there is this huge POS T18 with massive rust holes, dents everywhere etc.

My brother knocks on the door, guy comes to door, my brother says "I'm here to see the car"

the guys says "that's it there"

my brother loses the plot, says to the guy if he steps outside his door he's going to beat the living fuck out of him, brother goes on how he said it was mint, no rust....this thing was fucked.

the guy didn't know what to do, my brothers going off, it was funny as fuck.

Another time my brother was selling an RX4 coupe that WAS mint, so at the time he was asking 5K NO OFFERS (he said where ya gonna get one in this condition?)

anyway guy calls up, tries to lowball him, my brother says "It's 5k, not a cent cheaper, when you see, you'll understand why"

guy asks to come and see, my brother says "if you come and see it, don't offer me less as I WILL NOT take less than 5K, do you understand"

guy says yes

anyway this fucktard turns up, loves the car(it was mint!)

offers my bro like 4K

my brother turns around and walks inside, leaves me with this fucktard

after a while I said "I don't think he's coming back!"

the guy "says I really want this car"

I said "well it's 5K then"

fucking lowballing fuckwits!
