when i went to rego my rona the chick gave me speal for like 10 minutes about how she shouldnt be doing it because the guy i bought it off hadnt de-registered it and handed in the plates and stuff, and i said is it that big of a problem that one car has two rego plates on the computer with one in effect and the other run out, she sorted of mumbled about got the shit done, gave me my plates and what ever, get my rego sticker a week later, and apprently my corona is a 1985 csx corolla. not a 85 sr rona.

Yeah we do....although some dipsticks dont seem to bother when they have bought it.
I sold my Honda S 800 to a guy and did the notification thing. He didnt bother to change it and then a new rego rocks up in the mail about 2 months later.
I ring motor rego and they said I could send it to him or cancel it and get a credit....mmmm tempted but didnt and mailed it to him.
He is trying to sell it on ebay again now and I cant wait to see what happens next!
It seems that despite you notifying of disposal (good protection against speeding fines etc) you do still have the authority to stop rego until they lodge their papers!

im glad its gone and the guy who bought it helped me rip out then ecasery shit and was really good about it.

when it clearly states in my thread that I do not want to seperate the car. If this thread was up the top maybe some knob jockeys would reconsider doing stupid shit like that.

Cause I am totally in control of what the idiots did (setting my car on fire on one of the biggest main roads in South Aus). Cause I am totally in control of them taking the liberty to change the rego over? No I don't think so...

Actually the reason I got the oldy onto the case was because I was 17 at the time and sold the car for $400. I had already had several driving offences against my name, and had been to court for 2 of them (no I am not a dero). So when you come up against a cop on an authority trip who instanly assumes this 17 year old with a record that clearly indicates this kind of incident is waiting to happen, there is so reasoning to happen on my behalf. Not a chance, so what do I do, I get my oldy onto it, who is a well known legal represenative in South Australia. Smart move on my behalf I think.
