    Angry Selling cars to @$&holes

Im currently trying to sell my RX7 and every time i get a call over someone who wants to have a look and a test drive i sit at home all day just for them not to show up.....great day off work......
Or they turn up and act like they like it, say they will be back with the money tomorrow, wake me up the next day to check im still here and when they do show up just ask for another test drive, then its 'ow well' i didn't bring the cash.....only to not return......

just wondering if anyone else has a story they wish to share, im sure there are some pretty bad stories out there......

Yeah, Ive had heaps of problems when selling my old cars.

I've gotten guys that say they'll be there that afternoon and almost definately buy it and to hold it for them, so I do. then I get others interested in the car and say its on hold and that i'd call them back after the guys that first called me look at it. then I wait 3 hours after the first guy's were meant to come and tried to contact them without sucess, so finding out there not really interested. then when i get back to the other people they've already got a new car so they're not interested in mine. then i've got to spend more money to put another add in the paper.

but seriously the people who say they'll come and dont piss me off coz they put me out of my way for nothing

ive never found it too bad but i live far away from a major city. people wont bother coming down just for a test drive without bringing cash or having a strong intention to buy

Trying to sell my Lo-lux atm. I get about 3 calls a week and 1 or 2 veiwers on the weekend. They drive it for 10km's, 'say' they love it, and promise a return phone call later that evening or the next day.

Fuck I even got offered money plus opal for my car, stupid fuckheads. Constantly getting SMS's are the most annoying I find. If your that keen and want it, make a phone call ya pussy.

Having not really sold any of my cars (dead/wreckers/paddockbashers etc) I can only assume it's the same as selling motorbikes. It can be a real pain in the arse. I don't understand what some people are thinking, especially the ones who don't have the cash, expect they can low ball you on the spot or have no real intention of buying.

Emails and sms's are farking useless too. Need real contact when arranging a test drive/inspection with potential buyer ie. nothing less than a phone call.

    Tyre kickers are the worst...

Good luck with the sale mate.

you want to know why ppl low ball you when buying cars?

cos sometimes it works.... you eventually get so sick of having a car sitting in ur driveway that you just want it gone and ull take whatever price you can get.
