braking problems

i have a ke70 with t18 front brakes and a t series diff(out of a t18), all the brakes are new and disc's/drums have been machined, when i pull up hard the rear brakes lock up before the front brakes!!

i was just wondering if anyone eles have had this problem and how do you fix it??

id possibly bleed the brakes

the pedal isn't soft so there isnt any air in the brakes

everything is working fine so i might try swaping the proportioning valve with another, i dont no if i should try a ke70 sedan one or a wagon one??

Have you checked it all out/rebuilt it? Or assume it's fine?

Well if your braking hard there is a huge transfer of weight from the rear of the vehicle to the front hence making the rear light which would explain the rear brakes locking up so quickly

Still, despite weight transfer, the rears shouldn't lock before the front. Sure it can be fun in a rally car, but not the best for most driving.

I'd check everything works, none of the calipers are seized, your proportioning valve isn't rooted and so on. The setup (T18 discs front and T18 drums rear with a stock KE70 proportioning valve) sounds like it should work fine.

or can just get a wilwood one, like $80 from ebay, well worth it imo

maybe try using the t18 proportioning valve and brake master cylinder?

He should try a T18 valve. But the master cyl is the same. 13/16".
