Default socket size and type (star shape )

hi guys .. need to know what size to use to take the head bolts from a
    4age .

it looks like it need to be the star shape instead of the hexagon shape ... i got some star shape sockets but missing a few i norrowed it down to a size 11or something close to it . a 10 is too small and 12 is too big .. i dont think its a 11 aswell .

or is there a special socket you have to go buy . thanks.

Just your standard 10mm 12 sided socket will do the trick

Make sure its got a long skinny neck as your regular 1/2" drive will be too bulky. A 3/8" drive will work though.

I also use a 3/8" drive (get a good quality one but) with an adaptor to 1/2" so I can use the tension wrench to retighten, never had a problem.

got given a the 3/8 set use it so much more than the 1/2"

    no it wont

    you need as ae86rally said

a 3/8 drive uber long socket, i had to go and buy one specailly as my 1/2 drive stuff woudlnt work.

i got a lil 3/8 to 1/2 adaptor and it worked a treat

i just went to trade tools, i think i got both things for under $20
