I am seriously considering going the aftermarket route soon and am just wondering which brand is actually best, i mean there is so many options out there. Theres the apexi power fc, ems, wolf 3d, and haltech.
I'm sure theres plenty of guys on this forum who have aftermarket ecu's and know whats best, i have heard that you can have problems with the power fc's idle and plus you have to use an afm. I dont know much about ems, i've seen them used in mags before but thats it.
To me either haltech or wolf seem to be the best option as there is huge back up support in aus, i can go down to multiple stores in vic and just buy it and the add ons, were as with ems i have no idea who sells them or even if you can get one for an ae86, same with the fc, i have only seen nissans advertised. and
Anywayz just wondering what you guys thought about the different brands out there.
And also what power gains can be expected with an ecu and maybe a set of 272 cams, for the money you'd want atleast another 10-20kwatw.
