go a 4.3, excellent ratio for NA kiddies
Hi guys;
I am running a silvertop twenty valve in my ae86 with the 3.9 aus spec differential and its a little lagy interms of its acceleration I was wondering if any one has gone from a 3.9 too a 4.1 tell me how big the difference feels. Also is there another opption other than the JDM diiff that has the 4.1 ratio I'm not that fussed if it is not LSD.
I'm not sure how many different ratios are available for the S-Series.... if any
T-Series FTW.
I just assume you have an S series cause you haven't said otherwise.
You can have any brew you want... as long as it's a Datsun / Corolla / What is that?
I concur with the thoughts above. If you have an S series, you're stuck with 3.9. Swap in a T series and you have a range of ratios.
I just swapped 3.9 -> 4.1 and the only difference I noticed is my speedo is now 10% out rather than 5%.

agree 3.9 to 4.1 isn't much difference
better off with JDM 4.3
or aftermarket 4.5 - 4.6 - 4.77
thanx Guys I think i will go for the 4.3 JDM despite the cost. Most of my friends drive mucle and they are always stressing the importants of ratio.
