Default rx7 FC, which skyline master cyl to use?

    Hi Guys.

doing a rx7 brake upgrade, called my friendly nissan dealership to order a new brake master cyl.

i have been told there are a heap of them to chose from depending on engine model (turbo or non-turbo), and 2 differnt fitting sizes available for a rb20de r32 skyline (non turbo)

anyone know whether its the 15/16 size fitting or the 1 inch fitting?

or does anyone just know a model number, or a VIN number for a skyline that i can use?

    help is appreciated.

yes, but hte parts department at nissan need a part number.

i know what type i need, but i need to tell them how to find it.

their parts system doesnt differentiate between abs and non-abs

You will be looking at around $400+.

You are after a BM44, which the parts numbers are #46010-05U01 (Tokico) or #46010-05U21 (Nabco)

thanks. i also found it online.

the tokico is the one to go with, as the nabco is discontinued.

Price is actually closer to $500

You can use the ABS variant - it just has two ports like the AE86 master so you run it into the old splitter.

yes but if your going to do it properly, you should ditch the old splitter and use a NON abs master which has a proportioning valve built in.

I use a R33 item which has 3 ports (2 F and 1 R) the rear has a proportioning valve built into the MC.

i wouldnt waste your time buying a new one... they can be had for around 80 in good cond.

Fair enough. I'm using the ABS master, removing the guts of the OEM splitter and putting an adjustable bias on the rear line to tune front/rear bias. Just another option but probably more stuffing around if your just after a simple solution.
