What are you going to do about the cam timing?
As I understand it, with the taller block, both cam gears are retarded from stock timing by about half a tooth. I wanted to do a 20V 7age while retaining VVT, but I couldn't figure out how to get around the timing issue with out machining of some sort.
What are your thoughts on this?
id say ADJ cam gears, but u will have to loose the VVT. i had same issue with my SR but opposite.. head had been shaved a bit and it was about 1/2 a tooth out on the timing, which was like 16' i think
you could shave the head , but how much would u have to take off it to get that timing back?.. id just go cam gears and scrap the VVT
