I would sort of be thinking that at a swap meet liek that you won't find any reasonable sized carbies for your car, plus is it really worth it?
Hey guys.
I own a 1988 ae82 corolla (first car)
And i want to upgrade the carby + air filter
I'm on a pizza boy wage so cheapest solution would be better..
I'm going with my mate in the next 2ish weeks to a rodders swap meet to see what i can find
But your help is greatly appreciated.
Cheers.
Michael

a few people with 4ACs run weber 32/36 carb with an adapter plate to suit. I've also heard of some people running re-jetted ford xf 6 cylinder carb as well
with a non-crossflow engine theres no point in putting a bigger carbie on. all it will do is chew more fuel and give barely noticable if any power gain. it will only be a headache.
you could fit a better manifold and exhaust on as well as a larger cam. you will notice a power increase if you do so but it would be minimal.
get it retuned by someone that knows what theyre doing if youre planning on keeping that engine
