You will also need to block off the head drain unless the jdm has a head drain also?
A few quick questions regarding bolting the 100kw head to a jdm rwd 16v...
As my bigport head sounds horible, really gross valve train noise/rattles/ticks ect, Ive been questioning throwing a 100kw head on for the time been. (its sitting at home doing nothing but taking up space so I thought it should be put to use) Untill I drop my 20v in... (not to distant future I hope) As I need my car for work everyday and at the moment driving it makes me nervous the way it sounds...
anyways...
what else will I have to do besides fitting the adaptor plate for the rwd manifold..
The 100kw is missing the dizzy -----> can the one from my bigport be fitted or will I need one from another 100kw?
Also it is missing the fuel rail setup -----> again can this be taken from the rwd bigport 16v (I'm guessing yes but need clarity)
anything else I need to do at all?
Cheers
Niz.

I have run a smallport head RWD onto a ae82 4age(86kw)
It ran great. Especially with a turbo
The spacing of the injectors is different between the heads so you will need the small port fuel rail. You will reuse the dizzy from the big port. Is the noise just incorrect valve adjustment? As that would be easier to cure than swapping heads.

fucking around with under bucket shims = pain in arse, easier to just swap the head in my opinion
the valve train noise is from years of thrashing.... ehe.
I can use the old dizzy, thats good.
Will have to source a fuel rail I think, as I'm pretty sure I missing the 100kw one.
1 - jdm86gtz is right on the money.
2 - 4AGE runs shim over bucket (unless serious work has been done to it). Not that hard to play with, just have to remove the cams (10 bolts).
hmm interesting, I might have to get it sussed... but I have a feeling that the valve springs need replacing altogether hence the reason I just wanted to swap the heads over...
I'll have to look into it more..
