would be a lot neater to use the ae82 fuse box.
i wish i had done this with my last loom.
hit me up for some basic info if you want
When i got my 4age it had all (litterally) the eletrics still hooked up to it. Even the fuse box.
Wondering if it would be easier to
a. use the ae82 fuse box and wire it to the car or
b. use ke70 fuse box and wire that into the 4age.
What mods need to be done to run the 4age through the ke70 fuse box?
Sorry i am a complete N00b when it comes to wiring!
Thanks

i didnt do my wiring but the guy who did mine used the standard fuse box and not an ae82 item he said it was eaiser to wire up
Keep the standard fuse box. There is not much to connect up anyway....

Would be great if somebody could detail what needs to be changed to standard fuse box
pics would also be a huge help
slide86- ill probably end up getting you to do it anyway, but if it looks easy ill have a go. If i fuck it up ill bring it to you
The only real wires in the fuse box are related to alternator correct? ()
*Assuming bigport* When using my info, Refer to Club4AG AE86 ECU pinout/wiring diagram
Other then that:
-give ignition power to positive terminal on coil (usually a black/orange wire but you can make your own relay)
-On 14 pin plug, Pin 7 (+B1) and Pin 14 (+B ) can be connected together, and go to ignition (or can come off a relay you used for coil power)
-On 14 pin plug, Pin 6 (Batt) goes to constant battery 12V source (ie wire straight from positive terminal on your battery if you want)
For fail safe starting, you may also need to give power to injectors (Yellow wire found on 10Pin plug, Pin 10 (BF)) by joining a wire into the yellow wire and giving it 12V on iginition (again, use the same relay that you may have used for coil, but might be drawing too much current).
As for fuel pump wiring, keep that for another thread. What I have listed above WILL make the car run. With the above wiring, my car ran first shot.
A side note, for people who say an adm bigport 4age ecu wont work on a jdm loom, you are wrong. I am using mine right now and it all comes down to giving power to BF injector wire.

is one of those wires from the 14 pin plug that you said the cranking signal to the ECU?
thats the one that i had dramas with today, wouldn't let the car start. i think its a black with a white trace.
