tilton or wilwood?
racer industries at ashmore got em
a few weeks back i had a look around josh young's ae86 at a drift show and noticed his direct pedal box. by this i mean that the brake and clutch pedals connect directly to the master cylinders, just set behind the pedals. i have been told the whole box is sold as a set and can be bought somewhere in brissie??? unsure of exactly where to get them and can't see anything on google etc... if anyone knows anything about this, give us a shout because i want to look into it. i have also heard the price is quite steep - obviously - about $900 - $1000. it is a good setup due to the fact that no booster/ masters are seen in the bay, making a clean look. cheers guys, jamie

I bought a willwood one for a projsct I did ages ago.
Cost about $330 from memory... That was through American Auto Imports.. Don't know If they do them anymore..
Willwood ones come in a few different styles too..
you can buy clutch and brake seperate or combined, floor mount or dash mount and with the masters faceing forwards (coventinal style) or faceing back.
Also on my willwood setup I used normal off the shelf masters which are much cheaper that the willwood ones but the thread on the rod going into the master is differnet to that of the pedals... I just taped th pedals to suit the new thread and haven't had any troubles.
Good luck with it.
Though I don't know why you'd want to do it in the first place.????
I had to do it to mine because of clearance issues...
if your using it as a street car, stick with the booster.
i know you can drive round without it, but its probably more practical to have it on a street car.
if track car, do what you like, as long as it can be CAMS approved if needed
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (slide86 @ Apr 1 2008, 12:02 PM) </div>it is going to be a full on track car and will never be registered. also the car is being build in order to compete in some small shows, meaning that finishes are everything. i want the car to be as clean as possible, thats why i feel that this type of box would be suitable. i had only ever seen them a few times before, so I'm unsure of brands etc... thanks for the help guys... fozz, you said to me the other day about it when we were at parklands, i can't remember what company you said i could buy it from, youll have to remind me. cheers, jamie
in america at a place called cartek i had it all explained to me, more leverage comes from longer pedals,so if you get the placement right and the length of the pedals right lack of a booster is of no real concern.

330?? thats really good, my dada and I are building a GT40 and sort of need a pedal box but can't find anything under $600 and thats through CMP in england
yeah i believe they must be more expensive than just 300... i will call that place in ashmore fozz mentioned and keep this thread updated... obviously its not only me who wants one! cheers guys, jamie
you will pay more than 300.
you should ask on the clubman forums/kit car forums, as pretty much all ICVs use a pedal box. there are a few cheaper ones around made by small speed shops, but theyre not ADR'd. doesnt sound like thats a problem to you though.
