this happens a lot unfortunately, however there are many simple solutions and vice versa. a few weeks back, my dads 04 triton suffered the same problem, and after a bit of inspection, it came down to some old fuel containing a bit of water. if you can, remove the fuel filter (if it has one???) and blow through one side of it into a bucket. if there are easily spotted particles of water, drain the tank and give her another shot. this is probably one of the easiest solutions, however there are many more... throttle cables may have slipped from the perch and may not be in the idle position when no pressure is applied to the pedal. another easy solution is that the carby is dirty, carby clean it and see how it runs... good luck with it, jamie
