Default What t50 do i got????

Well i have 2 oddball boxes the first one is in my ke70 4ag. I was under the impression that ae86 and 71 t50 are the only ones with the correct splines and bellhousings for 4ag and 4ac style.

THis box i have in the car everything is correct, splines, 5 speed, shifter but had a different bellhousing and had the origional seals in ti so hasnt been changed, drivers side clutch????? WHere did it come from????

    THe other one i have

splines are correct for 86/71 not sure if its 5 or 4 speed, bellhousing is not 4a, the 4 bolt flange that holds the throwout bearing is a different shape and the shifter provision in the selector shaft has a diameter smaller hole in it than your usual 4a shifter???? WTF is that fom???

The T50 has 2 shifter positions. (Two different shifter housings and gear levers). But length of the gearbox and output shaft is the same.

The early T50 (TA22, TA23 Celica, TA12 Carina, TE27 Corolla, TE37 Corolla, TE47 Sprinter) has the forward position where the gearstick links dirrectly with the 3 rods in the box.

The later T50s (TE72, TE71, AE86, AE71) have a more rearward shifter position where the shifter has a nylon ball on the end, and it uses and extension rod in the box.
