I bought this conversion out of another sprinter and it was running perfect in that sprinter.

Took it to a workshop to get the running gear pulled out and put into my car, when i got there it was running but the mechanic said that it wasnt running well ( might have been octane he said)

took it down to the petrol station and put octane booster and then filled half a tank of 98ron

drove it home and it drove but it accelerated really really slow, almost no power to it at all. (basically plodded along)

thought it mite be the dizzy cap, got a new bosche one but the bolt holes don't line up, so we've taken a photo and a short vid of the original one the engine came with and would like to know what you guys think is wrong with it.

If your local and don't mind coming to check it out or know of someone that can give us real help, will be willing to pay.

your battery sounds nearly dead for starters... and then maybe check your timing

Sounds like its not firing on all four cylinders from what your saying, so either you got an injector plug or a lead not connected right.

Either that or its got no compression and has blown a head gasket

The way its trying to kick over it would seem as if something is wrong with either the battery or the starter motor

the cap you have is a 4ke one. its wrong.

it is incredibly difficult to source the right dizzy cap for a jdm 4age.

speak to anthony at kaizen garage he might have a 2nd hand one for you.

    your timing is out.

its too far advanced, and its firing when the piston isnt at the top of its stroke
