    Default SR,CA,RB owners look here

now that i have your attention, lol

while changing the bellhousing on my rb20(same as SR,CA) gearbox a springs fell out, from what i can gather it was not secured in. the spring is about 20mm long and 5-7mm wide, and very stiff.
i just dont want to put the gearbox back together and it not work. lol
also i think it came from the rear of the gearbox (shifter end)
    cheers

Did you have the shifter off the gearbox.???

Sounds like the shifter return spring... Just drop into a small hole on the left side of the of the shifter opening near the front... And yes, you need it...

yes shifter was out of the gearbox. but im not sure where you mean. the 2 springs on either side of the shifter are inplace, if that is what you are refering to.

On your second picture... You will notice that one of the holes where your shifter bolts down is larger than the other...
    Spring goes in this hole....
