I'm Justin and this is my first post. Just want to say how great this site is!!
I'm a graduate Chemical Engineer (Thermoplastics and Optics) and currently half way through my Civil engineering degree too. I worked at Hyundai and Holden (both crap) as a aero-parts and lighting designer. So if any one has questions about plastic spoilers or lighting I may be able to offer my assistance particularly with HID. I also travel to Korea, Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan at least once a year and as long a baggage allows I've been known to carry parts back from overseas.
I recently acquired a Sprinter for the second time as a project I want to finish from start to finish.
My first Sprinter was bought in 1995 with a modified 4AGE 20V for $3500.
The new car is completely stock 4AC :fap: , minimal rust, boaty suspension, cracked dash and corona rims for about $1000 less than my first (oh how times have changed). I had been looking for a decent yet cheap Sprinter for well over a year and finally got frustrated and bought one after convincing myself 'If I really want one I might as well pay a little more for it'.
I have many plans for it but basically I need a lot of help from the people here to get anywhere with this project.
The pictures below show how the car was bought and the last two pictures detail what I did the day after buying it (prepping for paint work).
I will be slowly prepping the vehicle and paint it during my uni break
I apologise for the long post but I look forward to getting lots of help from the people here to get my Sprinter on the road :2thumbs: I thank you all in advance.

I am considering 3 paint colors at the moment: 1) Crystal Pearl (Pearl White from Toyota), 2) KTM Orange and 3) Navy Blue.
It will really depend on which is easier to paint at the end of the day (my first full respray lol).

- First thing will be to get decent coil overs (JIC or Tein preferably). The standard shocks are as firm as a squashed banana on a hot day.
- FC brake upgrades
- JDM 2 way LSD
- Engine wise either SR20 or 20V. 3SGE was my first preference but medwin46 has made me think twice about that.
Hopefully it will be completed before this year is through.
I'm sure if you have the dedication to finish a uni degree, you can manage a 3sge/gte swap. though it will certainly add time to the build, there really arent that many tricks to it.

then in time i guess a 3s or something.

Would love to do the 3SGE but think it will be overkill at the moment.
I've got a RX8 project going on at the moment and don't want to spend too much on both projects.
So for now will have to settle for 4AGE 20V.
