    hi guys my 4age in my ae71 is revving at 2000 to 2200 at idle when warm the idle skrew is as low as it can go any ideas its just a bit annoying when driving in traffic. also when you undo the vacume sensor it iddles loww at like 1000 wich is good but it sounds like a dog plz help i just want it to idle at 1000 with the vacume sensor on thanks guys any help would be grate cheers jed

    plate up the idle up. worked perfect on mine

    on the bottom of the throttle body there is a waxstat solenoid (with coolant lines coming out of it.) unbolt it and make a sandwhich plate and bolt it back together.

    yeah i have done that still high i may take it off and put it back on see if it has a leak off air comin out of it or somthin

    adjust the TPS too. and make sure the map sensor vacuum line is in tact

    I have this problem too.
    Interesting suggestions with removing the lines, but if you were to remove the in flow and out flow coolant hoses wouldn't you lose idle up control when cold etc ?

    I have checked for leaks everywhere and cannot fix. have replaced the idle valve controller - didnt fix the problem either.

    mine used to hunt between 2k and 3k then i removed the cold start and tps and now it idless at 2k
    it would be nice to get it back down to the 1.1k mark but yeah just can't be bothered.
