    Default heli coils and the like

    hey guys just wondeing if there are any other options with repairing stripped threads.. in the Head, a mates car has 2 EXT manifold threads in the head that are stripped.. leaking like a biatch! so is best option to try and helicoil the suckers or try go next 2 sizes up .. eg drill out and re tap?

    all depends on space and tooling.

    if you have the required tools or worse, the lack of wall thickness to drill out I'd use a heli-coil every time.

    Are you talking about exhaust manifold studs holes? Heli-Coil.
