Good point,
but it would be much easier to just get a file to check what material it is hehehehe (not a serios stab there)
thanks for all the extra info too everyone!!
PS XaeRob you could just go down to supercheap/autobarn etc and look up the car that your box came from in the trans oil section
Just to add more to discussion (and for my own gain).
So how much will it cost me including bellhousing, W55/57/58 and transmission oil and at what point do we need it?
Hypo NA - Best box?
Turb 4A - Best box?

With Super Thanks to AJPS for all your AE86 and BBQ needs.
NA id say T50 still,
the torque of turbo/SC engines is what hurts them.
Bellhousings seem to be around $600 for the phillipines one - Are they any good????
As for the boxes themselves I'm not sure.
Can someone list expected prices for W55, 57, 58
so are W55's bad or something?? Thats what i was gunna run cos they have similar ratios to T50
also are those phillipine bellhousings good???
i wrote this up a while ago on my forum so maybe this might explian it better (and if its wrong then my bad ), i was talking about putting one in a jzx83 with a 2jzge NA whaler.
