Heyy.. Don't fret. I used the search thing.. And it came up with the guy on the gold coast but he can't do it he said. Without a donor wheel.

What I want done is.. I have ssr's and I want a new inner/outer made up to make then wider.. Does anyone know who can do it.. For a reasonable price and no donor wheel?

if your at gold coast you can try something enginenering? its near wizard smash at labodor. old guy owns it. he should be able to do it. the only thing he said last time was new rims are harder to get due to the large amount of companys going solid aluminium construction now

you require a new outers custom rolled.

    not cheap.

as in $1000+ retail price per 4 outers not cheap

donor wheel/inner absoloutely required for precise measurement

do it on a street car at your own risk

    well its illegal for sure.

also what style or ssr wheel do you have?

as the mk1/2/3 are constructed different to mesh.

mesh wont be as easy, in fact maybe not possible. the halves pete is talking about have quite a step in the dish and don't suit reverse mesh.

Steel wheels are no problem, a four stud centre can be welded into a rim of whatever width you need and it's street legal. I have researched this.

Aluminium? I'm not sure that you can do much, short of having a 2 or 3 piece wheel and having new rims rolled to suit, then using your existing centre. Would be very, very dear.

yeah i'd say regular SSR mesh arent really the best to do this on, nor really possible to do well enough. for a couple of reasons.

also, forgot to mention another incurred cost - to do it right you want special graded zinc-coated (i think) bolts, which are a good couple of hundered dollars by themselves.

a friend whos widened xr-4s also used double the amount of bolts compared to factory, which with the mesh wheel inner design, just isnt possible.

yeah they are a 3 piece total alloy wheel.. i had a look and they are the volk meshies anyway.. not like there is much of a difference..

so apposed to jap wheels..arent most of them just mixed and matched to make bigger size/offsets anyway?

i heard that volk mesh and simmons are realy close to lining up?? all u have to do is knock some metal out of each bolt hole.. is this true?
