    Talking Hello from Ireland

    Hey Guys,

Just joined there, im a big lover of ae86's. Im moving over to Aus in about 5 months, and be looking at getting an ae86.

Site looks great guys - hope i posted in the right section.

Can you guys please advise me if you purchase a car in Aus - what follows,

in Ireland we get ripped off on taxes & insurance is an absolute disgrace.

What do you guys pay for after you get the car? how does the insurance system work etc.

    Thanks,

    Wes

Goddamn Irish stealing all all the 86s from us!

    in any case
    Pay for the car
Pay stamp duty to get it regoed in your name (I think 3% of total cost in QLD)
Pay 3rd party insurance and registration (about $550 a year altogether in QLD)
pay for any additional insurance if you want it on top.

    that is all
