    Hey guys,
I've read a little about the legalities of fix backed seats in 2 door cars. Is it true that you need to remove the rear seats and belts then re-register the car as a two seater? From what I've read, you CANNOT simply run one fixed back and one recliner like a lot of people seem to have. Anyone got the hard word on this topic?

Also, do many of yers have a stripped out rear, does it become real noisy and unpleasant?

youre about right. you can run 1 fixed one recliner, but the rear seats still must be removed, the reason is passenger access/ability to get out of the car in an emergency.

the seats also need to be ADR compliant. to my knowledge this is the velo bottom mount ones, and some of the chinese brands sold at big auto parts places.

rails can be modified stock which any one who does mod plates can pass. if theyre scratch built, you will need an engineers report. id say technically that would go for bride/copy rails, but i would guess most mod plate guys would pass them.

if you want seats out and still quiet, all you need to do is just lay down some carpet to cover up the gap the seats left....
