i dont want to have to get it re programmed by microtech. i want to wire it up and get it tuned. is this possible?
I think it probably could work. I think the dizzy pickup is similar enough, if you change the plugs and get the wires in the right order. Not 100% sure. It would be easier to use the same coils and igniters the 20v had. But may also be very easy to go back to single coil.
nope.. you'd have to send it back.. the base map with be all wrong.. like 4 values wrong..
but the upside is that if you buy it setup for 4 coilpacks.. then its bound to come with a xbox ignitor unit also i would assume.
yeh but buying a new lt10s comes in a package with coilpacks and x4 ignitor. just wanted to buy this if it was going to work with out being re programmed for the smallport. but obviously its not going to work.
The only thing you can't change is the ignition input on a microtech.
Everything else can be changed with a handset or laptop. Ive been using Rotary Microtech's for years on toyota's. Im even using a microtech programed for a 13bt on my VN v6 (As a piggy back for the Boost ).
Any "Good" Tuner will be able to change the injector timmings.
The 20V uses a 24 toothed speed wheel and 1 home position in the dizzy with a microtech.
If your dizzy has both of those then you will be able to use it.
But i always recommend buying new, Its alot safer and in the end maybe cheaper in the long run.
