agree, and you can use the net on the ps3. and 700 is pretty expensive for a ps3, also with the graphics on a ps3 you would have to spend a lot more than 1k on a comp to get the graphics as good.
Bassically i'm a game whore, i can't get enough. I used to be a strictly pc guy but i'm thinking about getting a ps3. I remember when i was adicted to metal gear solid on ps1.
To build a decent comp its atleast $1000, plus a lcd onitor etc, etc. A ps3 is $700, and theres the fact that all games will be good on it graphics wise, unlike on pc. Plus you can transfer stuff to and from ps3 to pc anyway, and you have ablue ray player if you have a hd t.v. And most importantly you have a ae86 in the ps3 verion of grid lol.
So what do you guys think of the ps3?

I've always been a playstation fan. Like you said, the ps3 is pretty cheap as opposed to building a gaming computer and you get blueray which will be the next DVD. And IMO, the PS3 is worth getting just for MGS4 and GTA5. When I get my tax back, it is either going to new rims or a PS3.
Do it. i have a ps3 and grid it's the only time i get to drive a notchback 86
deffinantley worth getn one, and if you have some extra cash grab a decent steering wheel for it, makes games that much sweeter ^_^
I'm gonna go see if they still have the mgs4 pack at jb tomorow,.
trust me... you won't regret it... they are the most epic things ever...
they are just soooooooo well put together! they're so easy to use, and with the new sw update coming out soon they'll be even better! BRING ON 2.40!!!!!!!
in other words, yes, they are worth every cent

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (blinded_ @ Jul 6 2008, 08:15 PM) </div>lol blueray is the next beta or mini disk. yeh its better but not enough for everyone to throw out their dvd players and buy blueray gear.
i'd wait till the ps3 gets down to the $500 mark and then buy one
stroked 2L ca18-ae86 in the build...eta xmas 2012?
and since NO ONE'S supporting HD-DVD anymore, blue ray has won the HD disc war. as more and more TV's come onto the market with 1080p resolution they'll get more popular. i've also been told by a reliable source (works at the good guys ) that blue ray players should be under $250 by christmas.... you can bet that they aren't going away anytime soon
*edit* Bad grammer

That's a massive drop for them, verm69. The only reason I haven't bought one is cause you need a decent screen to make them worth it, lol maybe next year
