    Heyas,

I'll be heading off the Japan in a couple of months and I'm aiming to catch the D1 Street Legal East Division round at Ebisu on Sunday September the 14 2008.

What I'm unsure about is how to buy tickets etc. Do I need to pre purchase? Can you get tickets at the gates?
I'm keen on getting a view from above that tyre wall just after the pits that everyone crashes into

I was hoping that someone who's been to this event or something similar at Ebisu could shed some light.

FYI, I've got maps and directions on how to get there.

To get to Ebisu - get a train to the station "Nihonmatsu" and then it is around a $50 taxi ride from there. Show the taxi driver this map - traino is bottom right and ebisu is the red dot.

For those that are interested, here are some awesome pics of the 2006 round of this event.

    Cheers,
    -Dava

wow BEAUTIFUL shots!!! funny how that webpage goes sideways! :o nothing to add that would be useful for u, but do have a question:

i love the 2nd photo of the orange s15 in the middle! can anyone explain a bit more about it? from what i can see the photographer is moving the camera with the car (cause of the blurryness of the track) BUT the part i circled on the roof u can see is perfectly in focus! (like the roof and that rear pillar reflection) so does that mean he managed to just get that part in focus as the car was spinning?? thats mad as!

EDIT: or is it just a matter of having an f-stop of like 2.8 or something and ONLY getting that part of the car focused?

How I would do it* is leave the camera in manual focus at that range and then just take photos as the cars go by...

*DISCLAIMER: I am certainly no professional photographer! lol

A quick look at the website suggests you can buy them on the day, online, or from a convenience store (Family Mart or Lawson).

Family Mart and Lawson konbini's all have ATM looking machines where you can buy all sorts of concert and event tickets as well everything else you can think of B)

If you are going for both days, purchasing the tickets before hand will be cheaper.

edit: the above link is for the next D1 round... The street legal pricing might be different?? but I'd be confident the payment methods are the same!

gotta love a rear cradle, they seem to break even when the wheels haven't actually belted anything
