Stupid question but are you turning it the right way??
If you can't get a good grip on it I used a pipe wrench on a tie rod that didn't want to budge and it was awesome.
Otherwise get a longer breaker bar?
ok, my panhard rod has seized up to the max. when i first put it on i let the car down and noticed that its pulling the diff to the drivers side by about 2 inches past centre, which is distorting the diff to body diff
i took it round to my mechanic today so he could use his hoist for some decent leverage and we were hanging off a long ass breaker and it wouldn't budge a mm
just wanna know if anyone has had the same problem and how the hell I'm supposed to free it up
every other thing is finally done and this is the only thing worrying me at this stage so id like to fix it so i can stop the car 'crabbing' along the road
thanks alot guys :2thumbs:

unless its reverse thread i was turning it the right way
pipe wrench didnt cut it unfortunately
Is it a brandname panhard?
On car adjustable?
Does it have an adjuster in the middle or at either end?
My tierods were reverse thread from memory. Pain in the arse those things are.

its an AJPS on car adjustable, with the adjusting bolts in the middle
yeah tie rods are reverse thread, not sure about these things though, i can't remember exactly which way i was twisting the free end when i put it on my car, I'm pretty sure it was normal clockwise direction
Ok you are the 4th that has had issues with the Noltec panhard rod from ajps. Mine was rusted inside with swarth stuck in the thread.
Used lots of crc, big adjustable spanner and breaker bars to get it undone (and all the rusted thread was exposed).
But yeah, use oxy

however any that ive fitted in the shop have never been an issue

they all got put in the vice, and graphite powdered
apologies to those affected
cheers
New ajps ones coming soon
go easy with the oxy, any temps over around 300c for an extended period, 1-2 mins will seriously weaken the alloy.
use a penetrant, a LIGHT heat to get things moving and a nice fitting spanner with a long lever. wurth make an awesome product called rost off ice, which has never failed me, even the normal rust off has never really failed me.
