hmm, it might be possible
i think the hachi go form japan had a k box on a 3a motor.
youd probs need a different bellhouseing tho, not worth the effort
Yes, more ridiculous questions.
I have been told that a K50 gear box CAN (not that you would really want to) bolt up to a 4AGE. If so, does this mean that a K50 will also bolt up to a T18 (3-T engine)?
The reason I ask, a good freind of mine owns a T18 but last night (doing naughty things) he stuffed the T50 gear box in it. He needs the car as a daily and I have a K50 gearbox here out of a KE70. So I was wondering if we could put the K50 in, just as a substitute for a couple of weeks? Will this work?
I realise that the K50 is also cable clutch, will we be able to temporarily put the cable clutch set up into the T18 also?
Sorry about all the questions, still newish to all of this.

Asking questions is all part of learning this stuff, the great thing is you are using proper grammar and asking clear questions.
A K50 out of anything in Australia wont work. They've got an integral bellhousing so you couldn't even swap one on if you tried.
Only an AE85 K50 might work, but don't even bother trying to find one, you'd find another T18 box easier.
Something you may like to look into though, TA22 celicas run a T50 box, its a 20 spline output as well. But I think they have a different extension housing and shifter location.
Thanks guys.
I googled it and found "Phil Bradshaws homepage" which I then later realised is linked here in quite a few spots, but it basically said what you have said Golberg. I think ill be using that site many more times in the future.
