gearbox troubles

Gday, new problem.

i cant get 3rd gear when i am changing down from 4th. it goes in wen i am slow enough to go into 2nd. it also goes up through the gears ok. any thoughts?

3rd gear syncro is worn. You will be able to get 3rd gear if you double clutch, (which requires you to rev the motor a fair bit with the stick in neutral and the foot off the clutch).
