    hey lads,

just got my hands on some extractors and looking at doing the whole exhaust system. just need some advice as to sizing and resonators etc. its got a 16v 4age and was thinking a 2 1/4 inch but have been told to go 2 1/2 inch. not real sure which way to go. will be getting some sort of high flow cat but dunno bout resonators/mufflers. any help will be muchly appreciated.

    cheers bart

2,1/4 is big enough, I usually run, 2.5 from extractmores, to the cat, 2,1/4 to the resonator and 2.5 after the rest of the way.

do you want it loud or just to sound good without disturbing the peace???

id say 2.25 straight pipe with 1 resonator or 2 if you like then your choice of straight pipe or muffler on the rear

Follow your extractor pipe size. If its currently its 2.25, then you can keep it all the way unless u really want to go 2.5 from there which isnt too much of a problem. Just don't put a 2.25 on a 2.5 outlet extractor.

If you doing press bends and going over diff, then 2.5 is the safer bet. Look at ur whole system before deciding it all.
