Chopped out the rear boot floor as it was rusted as faaark and i will be mounting the fuel tank and surge tank and pumps in the boot so didnt need the floor!
welded some bracing inbetween the rails for a bit of strength (moreso we can sit in the boot when it spinning up on the dyno lol) bent up the sheet steel and glued and pop riveted teh section in, i rivited it instead of welding it because it is hard to seal and weld thru and also it will be easily removed iiiif it has to! much more happer with the result compared to my green 86!

engine has sr/rb20 gbox and extreeme clutch bolted on, found it already had a lightened flywheel on efffn sik.
did soem custom work on the engien xmember to make it work better as s13 steering knuckles hyper extend and u end up locking wheels a full lock. I moved the rack in my 86 fowards and did the same thing with the s13 rack for the ke70!! 20mm fowards

u say binding issues with the stock rack an position? iv got a stock rack and crossmember in my keto. as i was showin ya on the weekend. iv only noticed binding when i reverse on full lock.

yer around malla doesnt seem to be an issue but with the rack moving the full operation with the knuckles give alot better steering feel the whole way, also around turn 2 my car gets a much better line thatn before and i can hold it flat going real fast at full angle tight around the ripple strip where as it washed out tot eh side of the track too before.
the real killer for binding issues was queensland raceway, my car almost stopped on teh spot and was a head fk to drive, you can deal with it but fixing it makes it alot better to drive

how far do u need to move it to be noticable? just so the rack ends are as straight as possible on full lock?
