It's an AE70 sprinter coupe, payed the asking price it was advertised for on carsales sight unseen and had it delivered to Melbourne via Autotrans. As for too many project cars, the van is my daily, and I've sold one AE71 and cut up another to purchase/do this car so not as many as you think. Cut out the fuel neck surround from my red AE71 today and a few other bits i'll use for rust repair sections, so i'll pull the manual gear and susp out of the 71 before scrapping it this week. Ugly ass front? You're correct, I'll be changing it to T-18 panels, T-18 bars front and rear (smoothed and painted), KE70 quad headlights and first set of wheels I'll have on it will be the MA61's I have with 185/50 tyres until I can afford something better. Still spending money on house stuff so car isn't an urgent priority, just going to spend what spare time i get doing the rust repairs and getting it ready for rego.
Here's a photochop I did a couple weeks ago to help me decide what I'm aiming for appearance-wise on this project.
Will be AU falcon metiorite pearl colour (gunmetal grey) not black though.
