never mind
i think i fixed it
so i got my 4age bigport working
the problem its having is that when i drive it normally, it like misses or backfires and chocks and everything, thats when i drive over 2500rev slowly on any gear and normally accelerating, but it accelerates perfect as soon as i push more then 20% of the accelerator or when i gun it, doesnt chock at all, pulls smoothly, also doesnt chock when I'm rolling at any speed,
so practically, it misses/chocks when driving at a constant speed with consistent idol, engine is fine once accelerating or slowing down, but 2500 revs is where all this miss behaving starts
just to make a note: I'm so sure the engine timming belt has been replaced or played with, cuz nothing matches up when we did the timming
could this be the case??
also with this engine, its eatting up my fuel faster then the rev meter reving o.O...anything i can do or check with?...
never mind
i think i fixed it
yay
what was it mate?
timming i think....
when i timmed it so it wouldn't miss anymore, the engine reved fine...but as soon as i took it around the block...it lost 70% of its power...
WTF!!!
also had exhust leak.....I'm sure it just can't be the exhust leak that is making it loose 70% of its power..but i'll update on this tommorow!
Wouldn't be surprised if the exhaust leak has something to so with it, if the O2 sensors aren't reporting back accurate information the ECU might head into limp mode, or start doing weird things if the other sensors are reporting right info. Eg, its probably delivering not enough air, or not enough fuel, running of the information its getting from its sensors.
Either that, or a sensor has failed, or the throttle body is having dramas. Those are all consistent (roughly) with the problems you are describing.
4AGE is here! Cheers 44GTE and Anthony for your help! http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/fo...ad.php?t=10384
