yeah the struts are no good, only series 2 is what you can use, im pretty sure the front panel is good for the quads (the piece that sits under the headlights and bolts to the guards and sits behind the front bar)

Also Series 2 have the wider spring seat, so you can put Sprinter springs in them, Series one struts have a weird skinny spring seat.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Clinton @ Sep 19 2008, 10:56 PM) </div>LOL righto. I've got ae86 shock in my series one strut so i got NO idea what you going on about? Is that seriously the only reason why they are useless? As for the spring issue, i'm probably going to get custom made springs...

Main disadvantage to them is the brakes. There are no good brake upgrade for them. Why dont you just go ae86 struts?
Traction and me, were not meant to be...

for skids, just convert them to coilover, you dont really need brakes anyway.

oh and 08ftw, yes the strut dia is the same, shocks are compatible. the thing that the spring sits on (spring seat/perch) is a smaller diameter. meaning that t-18 specific springs are needed.
