Well well, im sure some know me here. And seeing as the site is starting again with a clean slate, i thought id do the same thing. I have alot of friends on this site that i have met on here or in the outside world.

So id thought id put up the build/thingy thread for my beloved Trueno aka The Fox from start to present. I bought the car as just basically a fun weekend car as i had been building a off chops onevia for two years and had grown very sour towards nissans! So i just want a car to do the odd track days and basically just a fun NA Trueno was what i had my heart set on so that i could clean it up and maybe one day pass onto my children (when i have some lol)

So this is what i got!

its basically a 1986 Kouki Trueno Hatch! One of the Irishmans Imports! So its gotta be good.

    Specs:
    INTERIOR:
nardi dished steering wheel with nardi boss kit.
jdm dash (Black. With no cracks)
    g4 hydrolic handbrake
defi water temp gage with control unit/

    ENGINE:
pretty much stock 4age (only 109,000 kms
    4.2.1 extractors
    trust exhaust.
pod filter enclosed with a carbon fiber box (so its legal)
    excedy heavy duty clutch.

    EXTERIOR:
    jdm front lip.
brand new respray. (poor one at that :teehee: )
    original trd duck wing.
    wantanabee spare wheel.
    casablanca wheels 14x7 (With dish)
    alfa romao disc brakes
    re-built calipers
    2 way lsd

    SUSPENSION:
    Cusco colilovers (front)
    trd green struts (rear)
    cusco camber tops
after market sway bars front and rear.

It looked like this when i got it off the OG owner...

So as you do when you get a new car, as you go you find lil problems here and there. After a spirited run one morning i notice the brakes were quite poor. I check the fluid to see if id lost any, and in actual fact the oil was boiled! Smelt like Scotch! But not the Club Charles brand!

So i replaced the fluid with HKS race fluid and braided brake lines.

The i moved the battery to the boot and stuck a isolator switch in the dash! I would say this was the start of things to start happening.

Why, well the next day i went to a Project D skid pan day.. In the rain! oh man did it relight the fire to slide again.

and this is where i blew my first T50 in this car..

I then start to take it all a lil more serious and replaced the stock JDM seat with my old Zeta out my first 86 i built Bride Zeta!

    Then came the suspension/steering upgrade

Nasiga Rose joint tie rod ends
    Corona LCAS (thanks AJPS)
    Cusco Castor Rods
    AJPS Lock Spacer

Had another track day after that and was a great day the amount of lock and speed i could carry i was really starting to get on the nissan boys nerves with them telling me when i went tandem with them, they couldnt hear their own cars all they could hear was the RAAAAAAAAAAAA of my 4age screaming its tits off! And this orange thing in their mirrors!

Then i added these parts! Also took it to East Coast Suspension so that they could tune the steering suspension exactly how i wanted it.. I still wasnt happy!

    - Origin (genuine) Trueno 20mm guards
    - New Rack ends (Thanks again AJPS)
    - Speco Gauges
    - Trumpet (Custom Compact!)
    - Fabricator a new bar support (Big ups to Freshy!)

Also just got back from another skid day! it was awesome. But i need more power!!

    Pics and Vids..

    Pics from the track!

After this track day i had destroyed another box and a brand new clutch. Plus i was pushing the car as hard as i could on the Nissan prone track that was set up. So this is when i made the decision... TURBO!

My old man painted my engine bay for me while i was working on some customers cars.

Here he is getting stuck into it!

    Sitting in priemer

All done in the cars new color. (Team color)

I also painted the sway bar and the castor rods. JDMs will hate me for painting cusco items black!

    Before:

    After

Also if you notice the engine pics i put up the other day you'll notice some parts on this engine were powder coated white. I fixed this problem tonight

    Example Before:

    After

Engine went in last night including all new brakes and steering! So not much longer now!
