Ok show me how you plan to get wheels, Recaros, TRD LSD and coilovers for your GT with only 5k?

Personally i originally wanted the GT purely on speculation of the price but now its 10k less then i thought things are different.

Changing the wheels is a gimme, i can see about 90% of these wheels on both models been thrown in the bin, personally give me steelies ill find my own thanks.

Toyota may of gotten tuners ideas for the car but failed on the wheels terribly.

The weight of the wheels is a win though.... With the wheels, I think Toyota felt people fall into 2 categories. Those who don't care and will leave them on and those who will get their own sets anyway. So it really isn't that much of a fail.

BC coilovers and rota's on a brand new 86 :s yuckkyyy...

from what everyone that has driven it has said...would be much better off with the stock suspension from a handling point of view than the BC coilovers

Getting a stock manual gt and then spending

    $10k on

    Velos $2k
    Wheels and rubber $3k
    Coilovers $2.5k
LSD + brake pads with fitting etc 2k
+ change to get a tune or whatever
    is still the best option

    Still just over $40,000

will be interesting to see how the tuners react to this car

its the first car that has been released when we are deep in the internet age
its the first japanese car (that interests us) that has had a world wide simultaneous release and same spec

as in the japanese tuning companies dont have the head start or the funds like they used to

I think there will be two categories - premium jap/euro and some small aussie stuff, low volume high quality american stuff - high volume US ebay (china) shit and then a raft of companies selling utter shit for them
