yeah make sure u put a cat in your exhaust... thanks google haha
i thought mine we're 14's, i got stock wheels on mine but never really had a check. Sam, you know anything about legalities of exposed air filters in australia or nsw by any chance? would it be sweet if I had one exposed but secured. i have to get it engineered for my surge tank anyway, would this air filter setup need to be engineered? thinkin of just a K&N Pod going down where the charcoal canister sits and a little heat sheild or something maybe. I can't find anything using google or search function about this. Apparently there is differnt rules for pre 1986 cars, but since i'm changing the engine, I have to put a Cat in the exhaust i read from the PDF in the link Joel posted.
Sorry for the conversion stuff up, I've re jiged it and I'll update the number when I get to a computer(can't scroll in edit mode on iPhone)
But all those tyre/ rim combinations are legal when referring to adr's
I haven't finished going thru all these doc's BUT it does say that the wheel rolling diameter can be +or- 15 mm of the manufacturers largest wheel option for that model.
I have found that we need to take into account 2 documents:
1 - ADR's which covers vehicles built post 1969.
2 - AVSR's (aust. Vehicle standard regs)
The ADR's don't cover all saftey features of vehicles built between 1969 and 1988.
Those matters are covered in the AVSR's
It says if your car complies with the AVSR's it is generally suitable for road use.
( 1st post will be edited with all the relevant info when I get to a computer)
AVSR's

this all well and good but a coppa and/or even a blueslip inspector doesnt go off rolling diamiter, goes off tyre placard (cant spell)
but yes that is the "rule" doesnt mean you will get way with saying that though
in that case if you get defected you can take it to court, because all a judge cares about is whats written in Law, not some coppas opinion

that is very true, but (i know your point is valid and all not trying to be negative) you taking them to court pretty much puts a big fuck off size target on you
plenty of cases have been won because the cops "opinion" is not stated in any law.
in the end of the day, dont be a smart ass, be nice, dont be afraid to tell them the law (politely) even keep a copy of the regs in your glove box so you can show them this is the law, if you defect me it just going to go to court.
the key it dont be a smart ass just be smart.
had a read of the ADR's but couldn't find anything on tyre stretch and the legalities..
cannot be bothered at this point in time to read the other two, but maybe you have seen it in them?
any rules stating stretch being a problem?
Not that I have read yet
