    Thumbs up mals hachi

Had a thread on here b4 but it went missing I think when changes to site were made blah blah.

Anyway its a adm model which i scored for $300.00 but it came with lots of rust and was pretty bad, though ive seen worse ones turn into show worthy.

This was at Cairn's first drift event run by raceline
I had painted the car white and locked up my s-series diff
for the event, stock suspension and a banging 4ac
however this was when I met the other 86 drivers in FNQ and they found this quite funny but since then have been helping me on my way to building a decent hachi. Once I drove their cars I realised what the 86 is all about.
Then bought my mates engine off him as he was done with his bigport and was getting a fresh smallport to replace it.

I also had a very comical interior and im changing it to black instead of blue/white boat colours

recently i changed my boat suspension to something alot more appropriate
which are (roughly) 6kg front and 4kg rear with kyb short stroke shocks.
Brings the car lower and will be quite practical as it will be my daily.
Also put corona lower control arms in place and fitted some rca's along with some camber tops. Dont have many pics of my own in this department, but we all know what that setup looks like.

body work is still continuing and im currently prepping the car for a fresh coat of paint, I also decided to cut my spare wheel well out cause it seemed fun at the time, ok pics

Also stripped the car of almost everything in order to find the cheeky rust

Dont have many more pics on this site but there is more on hr.
Have all new gaskets on the way so I can freshen the motor up a bit along with new timming belt and other pieces.

The plan is to get the car on the road in about 3mths or hopefully less, and then learn to drive it with the 4age etc.
    cheers.

Here's a recount of Mal's adventures from a recent weekend.

    This is Mal. Hi Mal!

This is Mal's car. Hi Mal's Car!

    And this is Mal's car's in-car fishtank. Hi Mal's car's in-car fishtank!

She's a beauty hey? Together they've won ghettosalon 5 years in a row!
    [/i]

    This is Derek. Hi Derek!

He hopes to end Mal's winning streak and ride to victory on his 4age powered car tyre!

This is Mal installing new suspension for the ghettosalon.

All was going well, when suddenly...

    TIGGERS!

With the reflexes of a ninja, Mal bravely hid beneath the car.

The beast was soon dispatched with a rattle gun and its hide used to make these RCAs.

Mal and Steve then did a victory lap in their chariot

While Derek did a flyover with afterburners blazing!

Hehe. I'm glad I laughed at your abortion of an 86 now. Otherwise there wouldnt be another awesome 86 in the build up here.

yep got some more primer filler on the car over the weekend.
Im going to use this before the main primer in order to fill up any little chips etc. Its good to see the car starting to look like a car, also attached one of my sideskirts, though dont worry you wont see the two screws hanging out.
    So paint prep continues.
