I wish Saabs were RWD. The engines are so good.
The only problem with the SAAB B-motor is keeping the oil on the inside. Shithouse PCV systems, on the later ones, especially on 9-5. Apart from that, they'll never die. Had the owner of an old 9000 Aero come in because it was 'cutting out' when he tried to overtake a truck on the highway, which was the only time he'd given it full throttle in the past 5 years. Drive car. No traction on boost in first 2 gears. Attach boost gauge. 1.5bar before boost-cut. No running issues at all. It'd been that way for at least 3 years. He still hasn't fixed it. Every time he comes back for a service, the sight of that car never fails to bring a smile to my face. B234R FTW.
