You definately dont want cast iron pistons. They haven't been used since about 1900.

I personally would bet TODA pistons about .010'' and ARP everything.

    Pistons: $1200ish
    Block Machining: $200ish
    ARP shit: $400ish

You also need bearings and gaskets.

98 should be okay depending on timing. Could run booster.

12.0:1 and nitrous is asking for trouble.

Revs should be fine up to over 8500, not sure about any thing over 9.

    righto.
    currently i have 12:1 in a smallport 16v.
wiseco pistons ($850, with rings) they are forged and weight 4/5's of fuck all.
ARP head studs, ARP rod bolts cometic metal headgasket (about $350 for all 3)

you wont need the rod bolt or head studs to rev to 8500rpm, but its extra insurance and well worth it.
you will need to get everything balanced to hi rpm and the head decked for the metal headgasket. with this done you should safely be able to take to 9000+rpm
if your mad keen on it i wholey recommend it as its fucken awesome belting around keeping your foot firmly planted in the accelerator through corners.

make sure your suspension set up is spot on other wise you be wasting all the revs and power band...

    wiseco.
aussie wiseco distributors. they can also make custom pistons for you too to what ever comp you want.

if your only finding 10.5:1, pistons they are standard replacement pistons.

thats odd last time I checked here it was about $13 a pound here which means something like $400 for a medium size bottle. Thats quite a difference
