Default 2nd year Mechanical Engineering student

As the title states I'm at the end of my 2nd year of a Mechanical Engineering degree at UQ, St. Lucia and decided its time to start considering what I want to do at the end of my degree.

I started off in Civil Engineering on the Gold Coast but changed to Mechanical engineering as I have a greater interest in moving parts. Have gotten decent grades in both disciplines.

Just bought my first ae86 and I have a general appreciation for all performance cars, especially the whole JDM scene(Lightweight + RWD = Win!).

Getting to the point I would like to try get some experience over the holidays. Anyone got any suggestions, or suggested industries/jobs that could suit. Open to anything really.

I got my Bachelor in Engineer in Holland three years ago and I would suggest just try what you like and you think is right at this point in time. Give it six months or a year and then go and try something else, even if you like the current job. In my opinion if you've just finished uq everything counts as experience and this way you get a better idea of what is out there and get to see what you really like! Because there might be a job that you'll like even more then the job that you're in at the moment. Plus i think that when you're young it's the best time to switch because (usually) you'll have less financial commitments.

    Just my 2 cents.
