Default What size springs and sleeves for coilover conversion on ae86?

    Hi folks,

I searched for a bit but I was hoping someone would be able to let me know what size coilover sleeve and what height/ID for springs I should order. I'm converting to coilovers on ae86 struts and using hts shocks.

    Thanks,
    Grant

measure the strut leg and find out yourself and choose a spring rate, spastic.

with hts you will want about a 200mm spring

the height you cut it to and the spring rate depends on the driving you will be doing i guess

start with 40mm cut tho - unless you know you want it slammed

The reason I have to ask is that I don't have access to tools at school and I'd like to order the parts and do the conversion back at home.

Ae86 struts 50.8mm? So I order 2" coilover sleeves? What ID should the coilover springs be?

That depends on what brand/type coilover sleeves you order.

Meaning the same size sleeve might want a different spring ID than the same size sleeve of another brand?

    ae86 struts do have a 2" diameter so that's easy. Standard spring size is a 65mm (2.5") I.D
