I had this same thing with mine, never had any trouble thou!
Hey guys,
I bought a TRD 2 way recently, was told it was for small axle, meaning Zenki?
I Put my Zenki axle into the lsd just today and there is alittle bit of movement.
How much play is safe? Is there even meant to be any play between the axle and lsd?

You could be feeling the backlash in the diff loading up,
when the axle is in and you turn in one direction does it feel like there is very little resistance when you first begin to turn it then you feel it sort of engage, and the resistance increase?
If you do it quickly you may even hear a sort of clunk as the freeplay is taken up.
as long as there isnt to much free play, that is all normal
Im talking about the free play between the axle and the LSD, the lsd centre isnt in my t series yet. All i did was put an axle into the centre and found there to be abit of freeplay, small amount. Seeing as there is about a 1mm difference between kouki and zenki axles, im just abit worried that i might have a kouki lsd instead.
So how tight are zenki axles meant to be inside zenki LSDs?
Anyone around Tullamarine have a spare kouki axle lying around that i could try in the lsd?
a small amount is normal. check it against your open center. should be about the same.
78's
if your not sure check the shape of the teeth.
1 is a square tooth and the other is a triangle tooth.
obviously swaure matches to square amd triangle to triangle.
from memory i couldnt fit early model axles to late model centre. they physically didnt fit
All is well thanks guys
I also read somewhere that i will have to cut down my T18 axles about 5mm to use them with this LSD, is that true?
