    Default adjusting coilovers

Just adjusting my front coilovers and im reading all this stuff on the net about preloads etc

I need to raise my front end 10mm is it just a matter of undoing the lock nut raising the height adjusting ring 10mm and locking up the lock nut??

Also im running short stroke shocks

    cheers

Depends if you have base height adjustable coilovers or not.

well not quite, you can still adjust heights with a normal spring seat, it more so depends on whether the coilovers are already set at max height, but yes it is as simple as just undoing the lock nuts and spinning them up, make sure you measure though on both sides to make sure they match after you adjust

so adjusting the spring seat up (compressing the spring) will raise it?

I was thinking if they were preloaded by loosening it the springs would expand raising the car.

cheers for the adivise guys keep it comin

mine are just adjusted at the spring seat using the locking nuts (if thats what you mean by base height adjustable. I have height adjustable camber tops too i was thinking about running them for easy adjustment so i dont have to keep taking the wheels off

    thanks mate

Don't raise it. Just run more camber.

I have some 35mm revolver lcas that are offset to give it probs 3 degrees

The holes are about 20mm offset so 3 degrees??

maybe i should put them in when i put my new techno toys tuning steering knuckles in and see what happens. My lower arms need to come down a bit but 35mm lcas will probs push them to far down towards the ground.

with more camber i might be able to fix that by going lower though??

    what do you think?

    thanks mate
