    Default Trueno Light Question

    Car - JDM AE86 Trueno

motor / part in question - The two small square lights right next to the indicators

problem - They do not operate.

    occurs/started when (if applicable)-

    personal situation (if applicable)-

Hi everyone, I tried searching to see what these lights were but couldn't find
much I originally thought they were parkers which should come on with the other
side lights however it seems not to be the case?

    So what are these lights?

    Which switch operates them?

    Thanks

If its a kouki trueno,it sounds like you are talking about the cornering lights on the outer edges and around the front bar?
They are curb illumination lights which switch in when your parking lights or headlights are switched on and you put on the indicator.

Have a search on club4ag for corner light wiring,or also on ae86EU I think I found diagrams and how to set up relays.
If its not those lights I have described, post up a picture.

Yeah it is a Kouki trueno. I believe the lights you are referring to are the parkers.
The ones I'm referring to are in the picture below, excuse my shoddy photo shop skills lol

The lights you have circled are the parker lights.
It's a green wire no trace going to it, at the rectangular plug.
    If currently the outside lights are switching on when you turn on parker lights;
you need to take the power feed from the red with yellow stripe wire.
Re pin it to the green wire,no stripe.
This only applies if when you switch to parker lights, the outside lights turn on.
the lights I was referring to are the outside clear lights.

Here's a pic with the lights labelled. Did this for benefit of those in the US, who usually just wire up ALL the lights to come on ALL the time.

Oh okay, so those are my parkers. I've always gone by the assumption that the clear corner ones are the parkers.

So the corner clear ones are meant to come on as well as the orange parkers?

I'll check the wiring when I'm free, thanks for the info

Here's a video of how it should work.

It would be handy to have a switch turn on both cornering lamps. They light up the sides of the road quite a bit.
