it'll be the channel the window sits in, they rust out and fall apart.

Folks, problem is as follows.
The drivers side window has always been hard to wind up from all the way down, first few turns were difficult and then it felt as normal. However today when I tired to wind the window up, the winder (this is getting confusing to type) clunked are started to spin freely. You can feel some notches in the turn but it feels like it no longer bites the toothed arm that the winds the whole window up.
Anyone ever had this problem? It feels like it is broken but I won't know until I pull the window out.

Could of snapped the cable that pulls the window up and down. Or on the winder itself. U could of ground all the teeth off the inside of the handle.

The channel is all good, I've had the door trim off. I'm fairly sure it's the winder gear. Probably need to buy another regulator.
