well that would be normal to some extent. Although it does at this stage point the finger at your pump. What fan are you using?

I know your microtech display shows at 98, but check the standard temp gauge see if it's also reading high,
Check your thermostate.. Maybe take it out and see if your get a cooler temperature reading for testing purpose..
dose
Might just be a sluggish thermostat. Ive felt in the past with a remote thermostat housing on a 20v, you get the head too hot before the thing opens and then evens the heat out, the bypass doesn't seem to cut it, and I feel its faulty to have the thermostat away from the head in this application. Before you all bite my head off, yes the remote thermostat housing is a toyota part from a fwd 4ac, but its not the correct (or even approximate) location for a thermostat on a 20v. Ideally you want the thermostat to be the sentry that only lets water pass into the radiator from the engine if its hot enough. Even more ideal would be making the cooling system flow in the standard pattern with standard in and out points (like only the TTT kit does).
Other causes of overheating might be blown head gasket or cracked head, or a blocked radiator. Does it lose any water? Does the water stay green. They arent known for running hot and not known for BHG issues either.
